The senior leaders I work with and the future leaders who do stand out are better than others. They don’t try to be different. They try to be the best.
You may be prone to using verbal fillers such as “err”, “uh”, “um” but they can make you appear unprepared, nervous or unsure of your facts even if you aren’t. Dare I say that it can even make you appear less intelligent than you are and I’m sure you don’t want that.
As children we naturally try out new things and fail. Then try again and learn.
Research suggests that this rhythm of try- fail -repeat – succeed is being driven out of us as the world becomes more connected. You should be aware and put yourself in positions where you can fail before you learn too.
